Are you able to put carpet padding underneath these or does it make it unstable?

We wouldn't recommend putting a thick carpet pad under our Premium Soft Wood Tiles as this may cause separation of the tiles as they are walked on. This is caused by the carpet pad underneath depressing and could cause a tripping hazard.
