Does laminate flooring have any kind of backing/underlayment or do you have to buy the backing in rolls?

While some laminate products do come with an attached backing/underlayment, Mohawk Boardwalk Laminate does not and it is suggested that you use some sort of underlayment below the laminate flooring to increase the longevity of the floor. Underlayment is a cost effective way to add years to your floor.
